La Croix Verte restaurant and pizzeria in Nyon updates its branding
In 2017, the owners of restaurant et pizzeria la Croix Verte in Nyon wanted to modernise their communication tools and their brand image.
After refurbishing and upgrading the restaurant premises and facilities it was time to bring its brand image into line for its target audience and to improve the way they communicated with their customers.
Out of the shadows and into the light « We never needed to advertise the restaurant in the past. Its strategic location in the middle of Nyon’s dynamic and buzzing town centre was enough for us to achieve our goals », said restaurant owner Mrs. Bagnoud.
« When we updated the dining rooms and the menus our regular customers noticed, but visitors who didn’t already know about us and who were looking for a great place to eat in the area couldn’t necessarily tell », she said.
« We needed to tell them about it. We needed to let local people, those new to the area and potential visitors who were looking for an Italian restaurant and pizzeria know that we were there and that our dining room and service were modern and up to their expectations », she added.
The restaurant was not communicating effectively to let people know about the investment that had been made transforming the dining rooms and the menus. The website was very old and there were no articles or notices appearing in the regional print media to describe the refurbishments.
« We decided we needed to publicise our restaurant so that young people knew that our food and our dining rooms were modern and up-to-date »,said Mrs Bagnoud.
When multimedia expertise gets on board
« Discovering the connected magazine Communemag in 2016 led to us working with the publishing company and global communication platform Mixmedia Swiss SA. It came up with a strategy to highlight our brand image which was so simple and quick execute that we adopted it straightway», Mrs Bagnoudsaid.
A working session was organised to determine Mr and Mrs Bagnoud’s needs and expectations, then lists of tasks were distributed to the various teams to prepare mock- ups, press releases and multichannel publications.
« The experts at Mixmedia Swiss SA carried out photo shoots of the five dining rooms, the terrace and the food, as well as a 360 ° virtual tour. We received texts to approve for various publications. We were more than satisfied with the quality of the work presented to us! », said Mrs Bagnoud. It’s finally possible to concentrate solely on the restaurant
Once the mock-ups were approved, the challenge was to modernise the image of the restaurant while still preserving its history, and to get the restaurant’s new message out there in a targeted and speedy way.
« It’s finally possible to concentrate solely on the restaurant. Now, it's much easier for us to focus our efforts on finding new flavours, colours and foods, to satisfy our loyal customers and newcomers. We are dealing with a single interlocutor for all our web and paper communication and we trust them. It saves us time and energy », said Mrs Bagnoud.
